A 30” and 15” ATL web commercial to boost brand equity and help brand positioning in the mind of their customers.
Excelerate Energy came to us with a problem: share price. With a successful IPO there share price had since slid, and they’d been downgraded by major credit rating agencies. They wanted to rebrand themselves, to show this was a new Excelerate Energy for a new era.
Without the scope for a full campaign, the solution was to focus on brand identity and perception management. Starting with the “why” we built a beautiful web commercial, communicating the company’s purpose, and setting out a new visual aesthetic that is, powerful, human, and emotive. Not something you associate with an energy company.
To create authenticity and relatability we street cast the commercial, and then shot on location in Bangladesh and Brazil, two markets where Excelerate Energy are helping empower nations through energy security. By creating a hero Excelerate Energy worker we gave the company a face, showing both the scale of their operations, and the lives they affect.
Rome wasn’t built in the day, but through clever creative strategy we identified and established a new people-first language for Excelerate Energy, providing the foundation for later campaigns to establish Excelerate Energy as a broader energy solutions provider, which could lift stock market value by as much as 20% by internal estimates.
