Modern website development and design project for Carbon Catalyst, a company dedicated to Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) solutions.
As part of our full service communications support contract with Carbon Catalyst, we were tasked with creating a professional website to act as their primary digital presence. The website needed to provide clear information for stakeholders, partners, regulators, and the wider public.
The objective was to strengthen Carbon Catalyst’s online visibility by delivering a functional, visually appealing WordPress based platform that effectively presents their projects, partnerships, technical expertise, and contact information in a clear and accessible way.
Carbon Catalyst is a growing company that required a modern and credible digital platform to reflect its position within the energy and carbon storage sector. We designed and developed a website that presents their projects, articles, and corporate information in a clear and professional format, aligned with their brand colours and visual identity.
The site structure was designed to introduce visitors to the company, its values, and its technical capabilities while making key information easy to access. Particular focus was placed on the partners section, which highlights Carbon Catalyst’s collaborations with established industry organisations such as Perenco and Harbour Energy.
A dedicated news section was also implemented, allowing the client to publish project updates and technical articles. This created a permanent archive for content that had previously been limited to social media platforms.
Key Audiences
Our approach to the website began with identifying the needs and expectations of Carbon Catalyst’s key audiences. This ensured that the final platform would meet both commercial and regulatory communication requirements. We reviewed comparable industry websites and evaluated multiple WordPress themes and layout concepts to establish a suitable design direction.
Once a theme was selected and approved by the client, we proceeded with customisation and development. This stage focused on adapting the structure, typography, and colour scheme to reflect Carbon Catalyst’s branding while maintaining usability and accessibility standards. Content layouts were designed to prioritise clarity, allowing visitors to quickly understand the company’s projects, partnerships, and areas of expertise.
Throughout development, we maintained regular communication with Carbon Catalyst through structured feedback sessions. These allowed both teams to review progress, refine layouts, and adjust functionality where required. This collaborative process ensured that the final product aligned closely with the client’s expectations.
Before launch, the website underwent comprehensive testing across devices and browsers. This included usability testing, performance checks, and content validation to confirm accuracy and consistency. Final adjustments were made to optimise loading speed, navigation, and responsiveness, resulting in a stable and user friendly platform suitable for long term use.

Following the website launch, our team continues to provide full content management and support for Carbon Catalyst. This includes publishing project updates, news articles, and technical insights on their behalf, ensuring all content remains accurate, timely, and aligned with their communications strategy.
We also monitor site performance, handle routine updates, and implement improvements where needed, allowing Carbon Catalyst to maintain a professional, up-to-date digital presence without needing to manage the website internally. This ongoing partnership ensures the website continues to effectively engage stakeholders, investors, and industry partners over time.
The completed website provided Carbon Catalyst with a professional and credible online presence aligned with their position in the carbon capture and storage sector. The new platform improved accessibility to project information, partner details, and corporate updates, supporting both stakeholder engagement and public communication.
The introduction of a dedicated news section enabled the client to retain and showcase technical updates and project developments beyond social media, increasing content longevity and visibility. The clear structure and modern design also enhanced user navigation, helping visitors quickly locate relevant information.
As a result, Carbon Catalyst now benefits from a centralised digital platform that supports investor relations, regulatory communication, and industry partnerships, while reinforcing their brand identity and technical credibility.
